Samples of my creations within the field of fabric pigmentation, during my college studies. A variety of different techniques were used. Acrylic fibres were dyed with basic dyes, nylon and protein fibers such as wool and silk were dyed with acid dyes, while polyester yarn was dyed with disperse dyes. Cotton was dyed with a range of dye types including vat dyes, which are similar to the ancient natural dyes & modern synthetic reactive & direct dyes.
